How to Add Job Start & Job Finish Questions

Creating Start and Finish Questions allows you to ask specific questions to your Field Workers prior too and upon completion of a job

You can allocate your Start and Finish questions to specific Job types.
For more information about Job types click here

This tutorial will show you how to configure these type of questions.

From your Dashboard Choose:
1) Options
2) Job Configuration
3) Manage Job Start or Finish Questions

Let us first Add a new Job Start Question

This section allows you to view, edit and manage your Job Start Questions.

On this screen you can;

1. Filter your Questions by Job Type
2. Add a new Start Question
3. Display order (The order they appear on the Field Workers Mobile Device)
4. Edit \ Delete
5. Enable the questions on mobiles (Very important. If this isn't selected, no questions will appear)

Let us now add a New Start Question. Click Add.

Adding Job Start Question Screen

1. Give your Question a name which will be displayed on the mobile device
2. Select which Job Type(s) the Question will be displayed. Use the Shift or Control key on your keyboard to select multiple.
3. Questions types - (see options below)
4. Type your options and click add one by one
4. Set As Mandatory - If you set this question as mandatory, your field worker can not proceed unless the question has been answered.

Once done click Save

Free Text
Large Text
Date Field

Back to the Job Start Question List

The New Job Start Question appears in the list..
We have changed the Display Order to make this the first question on the mobile.. Also, notice it has been set as a mandatory question for all Job Types..

Configuring Finishing questions

Select, Options, Job Configuration, Manage Job Finishing Questions

We will add a New Job Finish Question

Enter the details same as you would for the Start Questions and Save..

Back to Job Finish Questions Screen

We have made the Finish Question as mandatory and enabled in the Mobile Section..

Let us now see how these questions appear on the mobile..

Job Start Questions on iPhone

Start_display

On your mobile device, the Job Start Questions appear when after you Accept & Start a Job..

Punch in the appropriate answers to the questions and hit Start Job to proceed..

Finish_display

On your mobile device, the Job Finish Questions appear after you choose to 'Finish' the job and have added products/services..

Punch in the details and hit Finish Job..

As you can see, the Job Start and Finish Questions are useful to not only ensure that all pre-requisites of the jobs are present, but also to track the results of job visits..
