Example: How to Charge/Bill your clients for your services using Connect2Field
Are you a service business who charges their clients on an hourly basis for the field jobs? Just like a carpet cleaning company who charges per hour for different cleaning categories and jobs.. Then this tutorial will show you how to charge for the services rendered at your clients site..
If you are not a servcie business then then read services as products and you then charge for your products and not services..
This tutorial illustrates how you can use Connect2Field for on-site billing and invoicing..
For this example we are adding a New Job for a Cleaning Company..
1) Fill up the Client Details where service needs to be done
2) Fill up the Service Details
3) Fill up Field Worker Appointment Details (Notice we have a 2 hour job for Nick Cole.)
4) Click Save and choose "Save & Job Add Details"
In the Add Details screen that follow you can enter products and services..
The Job Details page lets you add products and services..
1) Click Add to active the product addition fields
2) Select the Service/Products
3) Select the Quantity..

Our products for this example are Cleaning Services as we have setup a Cleaning job..
Notice the correlation between the 'Hours' in your earlier Screen & Quantity here.. Putting a Quantity relative to the Job Hours lets you bill accordingly!
Also, particular to this scenario, if you are not sure how long it would take to complete the job or you just charge standard for a job, irrespective of the time taken to do the job, you could just select 1 as the quantity, and later your field tech can modify it accordingly from his mobile..
Let us now see how this looks in your Field Worker Iphone..
We recently created the job, hence it shows up in the Active Jobs screen for the field worker 'Nick Cole'
Select the Job & Accept

We follow the Job Start to Completion steps as usual.. The above screen shows the Products page which prior to finishin the job..
Notice the values you set in your Admin all appear here as Selected Products.. The Total Cost field is also auto calculated..
(From here, the field staff can also modify the quantity as explained in an earlier stage in this document)
At times your field worker might have to add products and services while on the job.. They can do so by choosing 'Add Products'
Finish the Job Above..
Back to your admin panel..
We are currently within the Client Details page and on the Accounts Tab..
As you can see the job which was finished on the Iphone is now ready to be invoiced in Admin..
The charges for the Cleaning Services have been calculated automatically based on your initial product setting..
You can now choose to Print or Send the invoice to receive payments..
