Connect2Field WorkFlow / Standard Job Status - Explained
Connect2Field follows a standard workflow process.. The idea is to track and report the different stages of a job, starting from Job Creation to Job Completion..
This tutorial is a guide to the different Job Statuses in Connect2Field
From Options Choose
Job Configuration -> Manage Job Status and Status Images
The Connect2Field Workflow or Job Stages start from:
1 ie Not Dispatched and End with Either 8,9 or 10 ie Completed, Rejected or Canceled.
All these different stages mean some action to the application and execute some code in the background..
So for example, if one were to select a field worker while adding a job and Dispatch the job, it executes some code which puts the job into the Field worker login for their mobiles..
Similarly, choosing Started, notes the Job Start Time and 7 Finished notes the Job End Time
These progression stages are very important because they are used to output reports as well as to track job progression..
Hence it is advisable not to change these fields.. Infact Connect2Field now does not permit changing of names for these Standard Status.. The images can be changed though to suit your needs..
Below is the description of each Status:
1) Not Dispatched: Job has been created but either no Field Worker is Assigned or job is not Dispatched to the Field Worker
2) Assigned: Tells the system that job is Assigned to a field worker.
3) Dispatched: Tells the system job has been dispatched to the field worker and to send out an alert to them..
4) Accepted: When the field worker choose to accept the job from their mobiles/ipads the status changes to Accepted..
5) Started: This notes the Job Start Date/Time when the field worker click Start Job on their mobile device..
6) In Progress: This marks that job is under progress..
7) Finished: This notes the Job Finish Date/Time when the field worker click Finish Job on their mobile device.. Then takes the field worker to the payment acceptance screen..
8) Completed: This tells the system that the job has been finished, payment accepted or skipped and job is ready for Invoicing.. The Job Central shows the $value of the job..
9) Rejected: This Status is applied when the fieldworker chooses to Reject the job from their mobile device..
10) Cancelled: The admin may choose to cancel a previously assigned job.. The set the status as 'Cancelled' from within the job..
Whenever a job status changes, the corresponding Status image gets applied automatically to the job..
Different businesses have different work flows and job progression stages.. Hence, at times there is a need to put in custom job status's apart from the standard ones..
Connect2Field allows you to create Custom Job Status to track the Job Progression stages..
However, please bear in mind that Custom Status's are solely for the purpose of display, ie they do not execute any code.. Neither do can they be used for reporting.. These are solely for internal use for your business to track job progress..
