How to attach documents to a Job
Service businesses have technicians and field staff on the road and it is crucial that the field staff is equipped with correct and essential job related information, to carry on their jobs..
Connect2Field allows you to attach documents to the jobs while dispatching them.. The field staff can view these docs and proceed with the service.. These could be simple images or even pdf files..
Let us see how
From the Job Central, we have created a new job and have added pertinent job information
Finally we choose to 'Save & Job Add Details'
1) We added Products/Services
2) Click on Documents tab at the top..
Click on 'Upload' button and select files from your PC..
For this example of a Roof Leak Job we have attached 2 images of the Roof Leak Location for the client..
Let us now see how your field workers can see this on their mobile devices..
The field worker can see this newly created job under the 'New Jobs' Category
Select the job and click 'Accept'
After Accepting the job, we are redirected to the job details page..
At the bottom there are links, once of which is 'Download Documents'
This link appears only when documents have been attached to the job..
Click on 'Download Documents'
The above image shows both the pictures that we had attached from the Admin..
This was a Roof Leak Repair job, hence we attached pictures of the repair site..
Your field staff can too upload images from their mobile devices.. Like for this example, the field worker can upload an image of the completed Roof Repair for their admin to check in the office.. Let us see how..
Uploading documents from the mobile device is one of the steps of the Work Flow from Start to Finish.. In the above image we have directly shown this step, however in real time this is the second last step to finishing the job..

1) Browse for the image on your mobile device 2) Upload the Document
The uploaded document is visible now..
Also, this feature to be able to add documents from mobile needs to be enabled from the admin.. It is done via:
Options->Field Worker WabApp Configuration -> Field Worker WebApp Configuration Settings ->
(Do you want to upload photo/document from FieldWorker WebApp?)
Let us see how the admin can see this newly added picture..
Open the same Job from the Job Central
Under the Documents tab, we can now see a 3rd file 'Repaired Roof Leak' which was uploaded by the field worker..
Clicking on the file name opens the image in a second window.. Below is the preview..
As you can see, the documents feature is very handy for your field staff.. They are better equipped to do their jobs as well as saves time in this process..
