Creating Tag Groups & Assign Products to Tags

This tutorial will explain how to add Tag Groups and assign products to Tag Groups in Connect2Field..

Tags are a very useful feature, in that they allow for easy and relevant categorization of products, quick searching in both Admin and Mobile WebApp..

From your Dashboard choose:
Options-> Labour, Products & Inventory Management

Choose the Tag Button..

A list of your existing Tags is shown here..
Click on Add Tag to add a new Tag as below:

1) Add the Tag name..
2) Enter Sort Order no (This is how your Tags get sorted on the Tag main screen, 1 means would be displayed at top)
3) Search for products to link to this Tag.. Search by Part No or Product Name..
4) Select the products from the left, (use Ctrl key to select multiple products) and drag-drop them to an empty area to the right..
A copy of the products now appears in the right screen.. See below:
5) Click Add and the Tag name is saved..

As you can see above, a new Tag 'Anti-Virus Kit' was created and products were linked to this tag simultaneously..

A 2nd way to link Tags-Products is while creating a new product.. See below:

2) Assign a Tag to a Product via the 'Product Details' screen

While adding the Product details there is an option/field for Tag Name..
We have chosen our new Tag, Tools for the new product Jack Hammer

Click Save..
Back to the Inventory Main Screen and the Products Details page

Above we have filtered our products list by the Tag "Tools" and the newly added product "Jack Hammer" is shown..

Your field staff Start-Finish jobs on their mobile devices.. During the final stages of job completion they are asked to enter any new products or if you have any products added while creating a job from admin, they are shown here..

As you can see, you may have 100's of products and it can be real inconvenient to search for products page by page..
However, by clicking on Tag Names the products are filtered and your field staff can easy select them for their jobs..
