Example 2: Planning your Field Work in Advance
It is a common scenario for service businesses to received job requests from customers via email/phone etc.. At times you may choose to book jobs in advance, however dispatch them on a daily basis, say start of the day.. Connect2Field has made this real simple..
Let us see how, with an example
The above is the job central.. All jobs of various statuses, different dates and all field workers are shown..
Let us assume your day has just started and you would like to see all jobs booked for your field technician 'Ethan White'..
Click on the 'Search' button to expand it..
In the search box we choose today's dates as Start and Finish and hit 'Search'..
Job Central now shows all the jobs for all field workers for 24 June 2011..
We could filter this further by choosing a field worker name, say, 'Ethan White' and hitting Search.. Results are below..
Job Central now shows all jobs for 'Ethan White' for 24 June 2011..
We are now ready to dispatch the jobs to our field technician..
1) Select the Job you wish to Dispatch
2) Click 'Send Job'
The job is dispatched to the field worker.. Notice the Job Status icon has changed to 'Dispatch'..
The field technician gets an alert message either Email/SMS for this new job and can view and perform this job on his mobile device..
