How to Import/Export Products & Update Inventory
This tutorial will show how to Import Products into Connect2Field, and also how you can Export your Inventory from Connect2Field..
From your Dashboard, Choose:
Options->Data Management
If you already have inventory setup, then, first 'Export Products & Services'
Else, if you are uploading for the first time, choose 'Import Products & Services'
Choosing to export brings up the 'Save As' dialog box as below
Save the Export Products file on your computer..
Let us now look at importing the inventory.. Choose 'Import Products & Services'
If you are uploading inventory for the first time, then,
1) 'Download template file'
2) Add products and services (Do not modify the original headings in the template)
3) Import the updated template file
If you already exported your inventory, then, directly import the file in Step 3
Below is the explanation of all the field labels in the 'Template File' and in your 'Export File'. Both formats are similar.
Please follow the instructions as above to fill in your template.. Any inconsistency may lead to data not getting imported correctly..
The 'Adjust Stock Level' is used to update the Stock for the product..
If you put in a warehouse name, the stock will be added to the warehouse (warehouse needs to pre-exist in the system)
